Predators ink Langfeld

The Nashville Predators have signed free- agent forward Josh Langfeld to a one-year contract.

Langfeld, 30, appeared in 33 games for the Detroit Red Wings and played 38 games for Grand Rapids, Detroit's AHL affiliate, during the 2006-2007 season.

In five seasons and 141 career NHL games with Ottawa, San Jose, Boston and Detroit, Langfeld has netted NINE goals and totaled 23 assists for 32 points.
