Redskins' Thomas undergoes surgery

Ashburn, VA (Sports Network) - Washington Redskins offensive lineman Randy Thomas underwent surgery on his torn triceps tendon Wednesday, and he'll be out at least six weeks.

Thomas suffered the injury in a 20-12 win at Philadelphia Monday night.

The Redskins could also get the services of defensive end Phillip Daniels and cornerback Fred Smoot for Sunday's home game against the Giants. Daniels and Smoot both missed Monday's game, Daniels with a foot injury and Smoot with a hamstring problem.
