Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills placed offensive lineman Jason Whittle on injured reserve Wednesday and signed linebacker Kevin Harrison.
Whittle, who suffered a torn hamstring in last week's loss to the New England Patriots, becomes the seventh player this season to land on Buffalo's injured reserve list.
Taking Whittle's spot on the roster is Harrison, who provides depth at the linebacker position for the Bills after rookie Paul Posluszny was placed on IR earlier this week.
Buffalo also announced that quarterback Kevin Eakin was released from the practice squad.
